Konawaena hires Uemoto as football coach

Former all-BIIF wide receiver Brad Uemoto has been hired as the new head football coach at Konawaena.

Uemoto served as an assistant coach under Cliff Walters for the past four seasons. He graduated from Konawaena in 1997.

“I’m excited, yet there’s so much to do with so little time,” Uemoto texted. “I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet.”

Uemoto has also coached on the boys basketball staff at Konawaena under Donald Awa.
