Kaiser pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 28-13 win over Moanalua in the OIA White junior varsity title game.

James Jones, a Moanalua defensive lineman, suffered an injury in the fourth quarter and was transported by ambulance to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

“He was out for a minute and a half, then he was conscious and has feeling,” Moanalua varsity coach Arnold Martinez said. “He might have had a seizure. He’s had a history of seizures.”

Jones was pursuing a ballcarrier when he was blocked, taking a hit near the ear hole of his helmet.

“It was a legal crackback block,” Martinez said. “He went flying about five or six yards. When he came to, he said he had back pain.

“He’s a good kid. He’s gonna be a good player for us,” Martinez said. “He told me, ‘I’m good, coach, I’m good. I’ll see you tomorrow.’ “
