Scout.com has updated its list of the top 15 high school football recruits for the Class of 2014 from Hawaii.
Leading the way is uncommitted Kahuku defensive end Lamone Williams, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds.
Six of the next seven listed are thought to be committed to the University of Hawaii, although that could change for a couple of recruits, most notably Kaiser linebacker Fitou Fisiiahi.
The only player in the top 15 headed to the mainland for college so far, according to the recruiting website, is Saint Louis defensive back Jacob Lacaden, who is set to attend Nevada next year.
So lame with your Oahu Bias. Wake up and learn the name Hercules Mataafa from Lahainaluna . There are at least 7 D1 colleges after him. Top LB in the state of Hawaii if you leave your cushy little island of Oahu. Do your research!
Aloha Rusty, thanks for the comment and for checking out the site. We’re definitely aware of Hercules and the attention he’s getting, and we expect him to get even more as the season goes along. This particular post, however, is a report on Scout.com’s Top 15 list, which is not something we’re involved with; we’re just noting what they’ve got right now. We’ll have our own recruiting lists on here soon enough, and Hercules will certainly be on them.
Thanks again.
I bet that guy felt like a DONKEY!!! LOL!!!
Aaahh waahhhtt….good one….lol… eh hee hawwww, no feel bad you still one donkey….lol…
A pre-season list based on last season production but more importantly the success of these student-athletes during camps/combines over the summer. Eh, leave “Rusty” alone not his fault…All of these kids deserve to be on this list can’t wait to see them blossom into their potential. GREAT YEAR FOR HAWAII HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
