Kahuku junior Vimahi receives BYU offer

BYU offered Kahuku defensive end Aliki Vimahi a scholarship on Sunday.

Vimahi, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound junior, tweeted the news.


Vimahi and the second-ranked Red Raiders (11-0) play No. 6 Waianae (9-3) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Division I semifinals of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA State Football Championships at Aloha Stadium.


In the D-I state title game on Nov. 20, the winner will play the survivor of Friday’s 7:30 p.m. No. 3 Mililani (9-2) vs. No. 1 Saint Louis (8-1) semifinal at Aloha Stadium.

    How many other Kahuku players got Div 1 offers? Bradlee Anae is one, Hirkley Latu another. Who else?
