A 30-14 loss to Saint Louis in the Open Division final of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA State Football Championships dropped Kahuku out of the USA Today Super 25 rankings on Monday.

The Red Raiders finished the season 11-2 and had their 24-game winning streak against in-state teams snapped against the Crusaders (10-1).

Kahuku had been ranked every week since August 21 and was as high as 17th this season before losing to No. 1 Bishop Gorman (Nev.), 35-7, in Las Vegas.

Hawaii hasn’t had a team finish in the final USA Today rankings of the season since Mililani went 13-0 and won the 2014 Division I state championship in 2014. The Trojans finished that year ranked No. 21.

Kahuku also fell out of the West Region rankings with the Crusaders taking over the No. 10 spot.

Saint Louis is also ranked No. 18 in the nation by the CBS/Max Preps National Computer Football Rankings but is listed as a bubble team in the CBS Max Preps XCellent 25.

Like I said all year long, the only ranking that matters is that last one. Im gonna be classy and say Congrats to the Crusaders on winning the title! BUT! after you guys printed those “kuck fahuku” shirts and one of your alumni burned a kahuku flag & shirt on facebook (its been deleted), all I gotta say is stay out of our back yard, take those players from Waianae, Kapolei, Kauai, Maui, Big Island and anywhere else but don’t cherry pick from us to make you look good. Our kids really only want to go to Punahou and thats fine if they want to go but don’t come snooping around our parks! fuwams!

Riiight. As if Kahuku fans like yourself and 88 and the rest of your crew were SO classy all season long, especially on this message board. As if Kahuku fans at the stadium weren’t chanting as loud as possible “we got spirit!” chant when St Louis was trying to sing their alma mater.

If you can’t take the flak from all your arrogant crap talking, then maybe you should stop.

    How’s that humble pie taste?

How’s this bipolar post. From sincere to butt hurt all in one paragraph. You’re complaining about a shirt that never was printed. Go on your Instagram & tell Braddah Jeffeereeh that the “Luck Fahuku” shirt was amazing PR for his page. His post was actually as hyped as his nationally ranked Kahuku football team. And the “flag burning”, were you RR fans short of flags for tissue paper? I’m sure all those flags were used to wipe up all those tears

Did anyone see the Mascot? We got one scrub complaining about a shirt & burnt flag. Where is the Mascot this year dragging around the Crusader with a rope around the Crusader’s neck. Did anyone see him? Or did be finally show up to the game as an adult & acting his age? I was wondering why there was less Tomahawks than last year. No Mascot.

All you damned crybabies on both sides of the line, get the hell over it, the game is done. Move on! It’s pathetic that a sport has brought out the devil in a lot of people. You people are sick. Why can’t we all just rise up, accept what is or isn’t and just move forward?

To the CRUSADERS of ST. LOUIS…a big CONGRATS on your victory, especially to my nephew Isaiah Tufaga who played one hell of a game.

To the RED RAIDERS of KAHUKU…my ALMA MATER…CONGRATS on a great and hard fought game. Learn, regroup and reload…next year is another year.

FOOTBALL is a game, it’s NOT LIFE!!!

    GOD & FAMILY is LIFE!!!

All I heard from kahuku fans was shit talking since the lost to bishop Gorman on how you guy was going to demolish everyone in Hawaii. Including St. Louis. Now you guys can’t handle that St. Louis handed you guys an ass whipping! Ain’t even the best in Hawaii.
