Hawaii athletes select small colleges

Lots of Hawaii high school football and soccer athletes will be signing their letters of intent to small colleges on Wednesday.

Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State football players Ronald Matautia, a linebacker from Kapolei, and Siotame Uluave, an offensive lineman from Kahuku, are two of the bigger names to choose small colleges.

Uluave, according to Kahuku coach Lee Leslie, is going to choose between Pima and Snow colleges.


Kapolei coach Darren Hernandez said Matautia is headed to Pima.
