The Ortiz ohana requested that the Farrington Governors football team come to Mokuleia one last time, so coach Randall Okimoto and his squad made the trek on Tuesday.

The Govs had been to the beach where Dayne Ortiz suddenly disappeared, lost in the sea. They were there on Sunday and Monday as search crews worked valiantly. On Monday night, they honored their teammate with a vigil on campus.

The return to Mokuleia on Tuesday began with a light practice on a nearby field before the Govs met with the Oritz ohana. The search crews had completed their final day looking for Dayne.

The team plays against Baldwin on Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku, Maui, in the opening round of the state tournament.
