GAME NIGHT 9/28: Kamehameha/Punahou

Terrell picks up 33 yards then carries for 1 and that’ll do it.

Keone back in for Kamehameha and his second-down pass is intercepted by Jonah Henry at the Warriors’ 41. 1:37 Q4.


Intentional grounding leads to a three-and-out, Punahou punts. 1:46 Q4.

Serrao returns the kickoff 38 yards to the 40. Togiai back in at QB for Kamehameha. After a holding call, Togiai scrambles for 4 yards then takes a 6-yard sack. Warriors punt. 2:52 Q4.

After encroachment on first down, Brady steps up in the pocket and launches a deep ball for Falatea. He makes the catch and goes the distance, 75 yards, TOUCHDOWN PUNAHOU. PAT good. 5:04 Q4.

Serrao picks up 19 yards and is up to 130 tonight. A fumbled snap and a sack by Caleb Markwith brings up fourth-and-13. A deep ball to Skyler Ramos is incomplete but a flag comes out late. Pass interference extends the drive. Keone to H-back Micah Pasionfor 11 yards to the Punahou 13. Timeout Punahou. Serrao is dropped for a loss of 3 and Pu’u-Robinson breaks up the next two passes to bring up fourth down. Warriors line up for a 33-yard field goal but Kamehameha takes its first time out. Kaufusi takes a swing pass 12 yards but Kamehameha holds there and Punahou punts. Horn’s kick is short and goes out of bounds at the Kamehameha 45. 8:53 Q4.

Keone connects with Akima for 12 yards to the Punahou 45. But the Kamehameha drive stalls there and punts. Punahou ball at its 23. 10:25 Q4.

Brady completes a short throw to Terrell, who picks up 26 yards. On third-and-5, Brady is hit by Lancen Dung but stays up and scrambles for the first down. Punahou ball at the Kamehameha 38 to end the third quarter. After two incompletions, Brady connects with Falatea for 7 yards to bring up fourth down. Tim Horn comes in and drills a FIELD GOAL from 48 yards out. 11:41 Q4

Serrao with four consecutive carries and goes over the century mark with a 26-yard burst to the Punahou 33. The drive is halted when freshman Tevarua Tafiti sacks Keone for a 9-yard loss. Kamehameha punts. Vincent Terrell returns the punt 20 yards to the Punahou 25.

Keone’s pass to Skyler Ramos on third-and-10 comes up a yard short and Kamehameha punts.  Kainalu Pu’u-Robinson storms in and blocks it and recovers at the Kamehameha 17. Kaufusi for 15 yards then scores from the 2. TOUCHDOWN PUNAHOU. 2-point attempt failed. 5:00 Q3.

Pass interference on third down extends Punahou’s drive, but Kamehameha holds and forces a punt. Warriors ball at their 27. 7:05 Q3.

Punahou will kickoff to start the third quarter. Serrao brings it out to the 30. Serrao picks up 7 yards on third and 2. Drive ends with two pass breakups by the Punahou secondary. Kamehameha punt is downed at the Punahou 7. 9:37 Q3.

Punahou retains possession and punts. Kamehameha takes over at its 42. Warriors lose 3 yards on an first-down completion. After a 5-yard run, a timeout and an incomplete pass the first half ends in a tie.


Akima loses a fumble at the end of a 28-yard completion from Keone. Kamehameha gets it right back with an interception by Tiger Peterson. Serrao runs of 7 and 11 yards set up first and goal at the 6.
