Six high school football games on the same night as a Hawaii football home game? You bet.

Kalani (1-2, 1-2 OIA D-II) and Roosevelt (1-4, 1-3) meet at Kaiser with the loser in serious trouble to miss the OIA D-II playoffs.

FOURTH QUARTER

Roosevelt takes advantage as Shastyn Kekahuna plunges in from 1 yard out for the TD. 27-12. 2:24.

Falcons drop a punt and Roosevelt recovers on the Kalani 27. Kekoa Lima on the fumble recovery.

Kalani with one first down and a punt.

Roosevelt three-and-out.

Kalani will start the fourth quarter second-and-goal at the 2. The rain is coming down hard and it causes a bad snap resulting in a 10-yard loss but Tina-Sobarano runs it in for a 12-yard TD on the next play. 27-6, 11:01.

THIRD QUARTER

Falcons drive inside the Roosevelt 10 as quarter ends with a late-hit helmet-to-helmet penalty on the Rough Riders that moves the ball to the 7. Ethan Zippay remains down on the field. DB Jared Elwin, who made the hit, goes over to (I assume) apologize to the coaching staff and takes a knee. Ambulance now on the scene and Zippay is put on a stretcher. Scary moments but he gives everyone the thumbs up sign. About a 20-minute delay.

Kalani DL Jordan Cooper gets his second sack. Roosevelt punts near midfield.

Kalani pinned on its 6-yard line. Three-and-out.

Roosevelt three-and-out.

Kalani goes backwards on first drive as DL Kahiau Kahooilihala gets a tackle for loss and LB Elijah Byers with a huge sack for Roosevelt.

SECOND QUARTER

Kalani gets the ball on its 49 with 36.6 seconds left. Slant over the middle is complete to Kim for 46 yards down to the 5. Timeout with 27.1 seconds left. Tina-Sobarano averaging 40 yards a completion. Tina-Sobarano in on the 5-yard TD run. 21-6.

DL Jordan Cooper with a sack on third down and Kalani will get the ball back with less than a minute to go.

Cody Uehara with a 34-yard punt return to the 33. Next play is a 33-yard TD pass from Tina-Sobarano to Jaemi Harris. 14-6, 1:24, Q2.

DL Scout Benson stuffs a run on third down to force a punt. Kalani will get the ball back inside of two minutes.

LB Austin Suati sacks Tina-Sobarano on third down to force a punt at midfield.

Roosevelt goes on a 16-play, 94-yard drive capped off by Isaiah Rosa‘s 2-yard TD run. XP is blocked so it’s 7-6.

FIRST QUARTER

Roosevelt pinned on its 6. A defensive pass interference on third down moves the chains.

Falcons punt from the Roosevelt 44 with 1:41 left in quarter.

Kalani forces a three-and-out but then jumps offsides on fourth down to give up a first down. Now a punt.

Falcons start on their 20. A 12-yard run by Jaemi Harris is followed by a 68-yard bomb from QB Seth Tina-Sobarano to Brandon Kim. Touchdown Falcons. 7-0.

Rough Riders get the ball first and start at own 24. Roosevelt sticks mostly with the run and picks up two first downs. QB Shastyn Kekahuna converts a third down with a 7-yard pass to Chris Kalamau-Molina. Drive stalls at 45 but Kalani roughs the punter. Nope only running into the kicker.

HISTORY: Roosevelt leads the series 22-11 in the Prep Bowl and state championships eras. The teams have split the last 16 meetings.
