9:39: We’re facing at least 15-minute delay here at Aloha Stadium because a few lights went out.

9:20: Kahuku turns it over on downs at the Saint Louis 35 with 16 seconds left in the first half.

9:09: Kahuku’s punt is BLOCKED and the Crusaders get the ball at the Red Raiders’ 28 with 3:33 left in the half.

9:04: Kahuku’s defense brings the pressure this time, sacking de Laura and then pressuring him into a near-interception en route to forcing a punt. The Red Raiders get the ball back on their own 28 with 5:05 left in the first half.

8:59: Kahuku gets a first down on a Matagi run but haven’t been able to string together more than one so far tonight. Saint Louis has the ball on its own 25 after the punt, 7:45 left in the first half.

8:52: Jason Cruz takes a handoff two yards for another Saint Louis touchdown. Napuunoa’s PAT is good and the Crusaders are skunking Kahuku early, leading 21-0 with 10:46 to go in the second quarter.

SECOND QUARTER

8:47: End of 1. Saint Louis leads 14-0 and is looking to add more with a fresh set of downs at the Kahuku 29.

8:38: Jayden de Laura throws a 22-yard DIME to Roman Wilson for a touchdown. Wilson’s speed is just unfair. Napuunoa’s kick is good and the Saint Louis lead is 14-0 with 3:19 left in the first quarter.

8:31: Kahuku can’t take advantage of its field position after a penalty on first down and a sack by Saint Louis linebacker Jordan Botelho on third down. Crusaders start from their own 18 after a nice punt, 5:34 to go in the first.

8:28: After the Crusaders kick off from their own 7-and-a-half yard line following the unsportsmanlike conduct call, the Red Raiders have decent starting field position at the Saint Louis 45.

8:26: TOUCHDOWN Saint Louis. The Crusaders drive right down the field, as Mason Taliulu‘s 1-yard rushing score caps the drive. Offensive lineman Rod Dupont has been ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. Lason Napuunoa‘s PAT is good. The Saint Louis lead is 7-0 with 7:37 left in the first.

Sterling Carvalho has got to be the SOFTEST coach, I have ever seen Kahuku have.

Also, what were they thinking of scheduling a Triple Header anyways either? Horrible idea.

St Louis too much speed all over the field. Big Red brought pressure, but De Laura was magic and the receivers too good to cover for more than couple of seconds.

Still proud of the boys! RRFL!!
