GAME NIGHT 8/24: Waianae/Kahuku

9:07: GAME OVER.

9:06: Waianae drives to the 5, but gets stopped.


9:00: Waianae punts it away, but gets it back on Travis Mauai-Koki’s fumble recovery.

8:53: Kahuku drives 48 yards for another score and takes a ton of time off the clock. Zion Ah You punches it in from 1-yard out. The 2-point conversion run fails. KAHUKU 32,WAIANAE0, 6:38 left in fourth quarter.

8:45: Waianae goes for it on fourth down insteadand a McLeod pass falls incomplete.

8:44: Third quarter ends.

8:43: After a first down on a McLeod 11-yard pass to Machado, Waianae stalls and will be punting.

8:33: Kaonohi Kaniho picks off Seariders backup quarterback Jorden Kaloi-English and takes it to the house from 35 yards out. A two-point conversion try fails. KAHUKU 26, WAIANAE 0, 4:03 left in third quarter.

8:29: Kade Nakaahiki-Bourgeois goes 24 yards on an end around to the Waianae 20. On the next play, Adolpho hits Keoki Annandaie with a 20-yard TD pass. Matagi runs home the 2-point conversion. KAHUKU 20, WAIANAE 0, 4:18 left in third quarter.

8:26: Waianae can’t move and a short punt gives Kahuku the ball at the Seariders’ 44.

8:20: On first down, Matagi finds a hole up the middle and goes 58 yards for a touchdown. Once again, Requilman’s extra-point attempt is blocked. KAHUKU 12, WAIANAE 0, 5:56 left in third quarter.

8:19: Waianae goes for it on fourth down and 2 from the Kahuku 40, but McLeod is stopped short. Kahuku ball.

8:11: The Red Raiders drive 65 yards for the game’s firat touchdown. Matagi rushes on six of the seven plays for all but 5 of the those yards. The big play was a 33-yard run. Requilman’s extra-point attempt goes into the middle of the Waianae line. Blocked. KAHUKU 6, WAIANAE 0, 9:00 left in third quarter.

7:51: Second quarter ends.

7:50: Cole Pruett catches a 41-yard pass from Adolpho for Kakuku to the Waianae 23, but is pushed out of bounds as time runs out in the first half.

7:45: Joshua Centeno-Cid’s 31-yard field goal attempt goes wide. 31 seconds left in second quarter.

7:44: The Seariders call timeout to contemplate a fourth-down and 2 situation from the Kahuku 14. There are 37 seconds left in second quarer.

7:39: A pass to Kaai Tambaoan-Kaeo goes for 11 yards. Then, McLeod scrambles for 11 yards. Waianae ball is at the Kahuku 22. 1:31 left in second quarter.


7:35: Red Raiders can’t sustain a drive and punt it away.

7:32: A 39-yard Zealand Matagi run is called back due to a penalty.

7:30: Peter John Mataira gets the ball back for Kahuku, intercepting a Lopes pass. Kahuku ball at its own 30.

7:28: Ayala makes a 63-yard catch and run on a pass from McLeod. Ball is at the Kahuku 14.

7:24: Kahuku stalls and punt it away.

7:23: Jason Mariteragi is in at QB for the Red Raiders.

7:21: Seariders can’t get farther and will be punting. They fake a punt for the third time on the night. A Saege Ayala pass is picked off by Frisco Aveau.

7:19: A McLeod pass to Machado goes for 15 yards to the Waianae 45.

7:15: First quarter ends.

7:12: Adam Requilman misses a 36-yard field goal. 1:05 left in first quarter.

7:07: Kahuku is driving. Lalio Kaluna picks up a first down on runs of 7 and 6 yards. Ball is at the Waianae 20.

6:59: Waianae is back to punt. They try a pass instead to Noah Machado. He is wide open, but drops it. Kakku ball.

6:57: Waianae’s Brian Aipolani intercepts an Adolpho pass. Seariders ball at the Kahuku 38.

6:56: Tiger Adolpho is in at QB for the Red Raiders.

6:53: Waianae takes the kick and can’t move on its first possession. Will be punting. Sheldon McLeod is the Seariders’ quarterback. The Seariders tried to run instead of punt and don’t make it.

    Way to play tough 4 a half Waianae. Now just need to get back to work. Get better and grind. Moving in the right direction. Good luck Seariders. Hope you guys can pull off some upsets on your upcoming schedule. RR4L to the W. Country to country.
