GAME NIGHT 10/18: Farrington/Mililani

10:37: Game over.

10:36: An Alcover 27-yard run brings the Mililani ball to the Farrington 5. 23 seconds left.


10:28: Farrington drives to the Mililani 24 and is stopped. A big play was a Pate 36 -yard pass to Christian Havea. Trojans take over on their 24.

10:13: Navares kicks a field goal. MILILANI 34, FARRINGTON 7, 10:14 left in fourth quarter.

10:08: Third quarter ends.

10:07: An 11-yard pass from Agbayani to Gibson covers 11 yards. A 15-yard facemask penalty and a 13-yard Alcover run pushes the ball to the Farrington 5.

9:59: The Govs drive all the way to Mililani 15 against some Trojans second-string defenders. But, Farrington’s sixth turnover, a fumble, ruins the drive. This one is recovered by Mililani’s Sonny Semeatu.

9:49: Agbayani’s pass falls incomplete. Farrington takes over on downs on its 39.

9:47: Mililani is facing a fourth and 16 from the Farrington 39. The Trojans call timeout. 6:54 left in third quarter.

9:46: The Trojans get into Farrington territory and an apparent Agbayani to Kalama 26-yard TD pass is called back due to holding on Mililani.

9:40: Williams gets it back, though. On the next play, Mililani fumbles and Williams takes it 76 yards for a touchdown. Andrew Elijah Juan Cabuco kicks the extra point. MILILANI 31, FARRINGTON 7, 8:46 left in third quarter.

9:36: Farrington takes the kickoff and does not pick up a first down after three plays. The punt team comes in but a short-snap fake to Tugase Williams fails. Williams is tackled for a loss by the Trojans’ Tristen Townes. Mililani ball at the Govs’ 36.

9:15: Second quarter ends.

9:12: And Mililani makes Farrington pay again. Rayvin Yacapin breaks free down the left sideline and Agbayani unloads a bomb to him for what turns out to be a 52-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Navares adds the extra point. MILILANI 31, FARRINGTON 0, 0:16 left in second quarter.

9:08: An interception by Mililani’s Asher Pilanca is Farrington’s fifth turnover of the half. The Trojans have another chance to score with 1:06 to go.

9:06: Manu Penitani bobbles the ball in the end zone, but still gets off a 46-yard punt. Govs take over on their 43.

9:04: Farrington punts pins the Trojans at their own 6. They go three and out and will be punting. 1:50 left in first half.

9:01: Govs call timeout.

9:00: The Govs can’t move and will be punting. 2:58 left in second quarter.

8:56: For the second time, the Trojans go three and out and punt.

8:54: The Govs are hit again by the turnover bug. This time, backup quarterback Kulana Pate, on his second throw of the game, throws a pass that is intercepted by the Trojans’ Kiai Ramos. It’s Farrington’s fourth turnover. Mililani has not coughed up the ball.

8:46: Two plays later, after a 2-yard loss, Malosi Sam goes up the middle for a 4-yard touchdown. Navares kicks the extra point. MILILANI 24, FARRINGTON 0, 7:13 left in second quarter.

8:45: A trademark, high-flying offensive play by Mililani gets the ball to the Farrington 2. Agbayani uncoils a bomb to Gibson o a post pattern.


8:41: But it doesn’t take long for Mililani to get the ball back. Mark Pasternak recovers Farrington’s third lost fumble.

8:39: On Mililani’s next possession, a third down fumble by Agbayani is recovered by Agbayani for a 7-yard loss. The Trojans punt for the first time.

8:35: On Farrington’s fourth possession, the Govs punt for the second time in the game. The other two possessions ended in fumbles.

8:33: First quarter ends.

8:27: On the next play, there is a miscue in the Farrington handoff exchange and the ball hits the ground, where it is picked up by Mililani’s Kamalu DeBlake, who returns it 5 yards for a touchdown. Navares adds the extra point. MILILANI 17, FARRINGTON 0, 1:42 left in first quarter.

8:26: The ball is becoming a ping-pong ball. Agbayani throws a pass that is intercepted by Syracuse Kahakai at the Govs’ 8.

8:21: TJ Paleafei runs for 9 and then 10 yards for the Govs. He gets the next handoff but fumbles. It’s recovered by Mililani’s Muelu Iosefa, who returns it 46 yards to the Trojans’ 8. Paleafei runs all the way back to make the tackle.

8:19: Selau Kalani runs back the kickoff 36 yards. He had one man to beat, but Navares, the kicker, made the tackle.

8:17: On a second down play, Agbayani hits Kanoa Gibson in the front left corner of the end zone on a simple out route. His defender was a few yards too deep into the end zone. Navares kicks the extra point. MILILANI 10, FARRINGTON 0, 3:50 left in first quarter.

8:14: A pass interference penalty brings the ball to the 18.

8:13: Trojans are marching. Ball at the Farrington 33 after two first downs.

8:10: After the punt, Mililani to start at its 41.

8:09: Two players help Wynden Hoohuli off. it appears to be his ankle or knee.

8:08: The Govs go three and out and will be punting. Injured Mililani player on the field.

8:05: Darius Chaffin in at QB for Farrington on its first drive.

8:03: Kaulana Navares kicks a 48-yard field goal. MILILANI 3, FARRINGTON 0, 9:28 left in first quarter.

8:01: It’s fourth down and 3 at the Farrington 31. Mililani calls timeout.

8:00: On the first play from scrimmage, Raysen Motoyama takes a handoff and gains 28 yards to the Farrington 38.

7:58: Mililani receives kick. Farrington is defending the south end zone. Brendyn Agbayani is in at QB.
