Farrington OL becomes second Gov ever to be named Polynesian Bowl All-Star

Farrington’s Faaope Laloulu has been named a 2020 Polynesian Bowl All-Star.

The 6-foot-7, 370-pound offensive lineman was named to the Star-Advertiser All-State second team as a junior last season while playing for St. Francis. He has since transferred to Farrington after St. Francis was shut down after the 2018-19 academic year.

Laloulu committed to Oregon in June over offers from Arizona, Brigham Young, Hawaii, Oregon State, San Diego State, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Washington.

He is the second Gov ever to make the Polynesian Bowl. Running back Challen Faamatau played in the inaugural game in 2017.

Laloulu is the 11th player currently enrolled in high school in Hawaii selected to the game, joining Saint Louis linebackers Jordan Botelho and Nick Herbig and defensive tackle Stanley McKenzie, Punahou defensive back Alaka’i Gilman and offensive lineman Solatoa Moea’i, Saint Louis receivers Roman Wilson and Matt Sykes, Kahuku offensive lineman Micah Soliai-Howlett, Mililani defensive end Shane Kady and Kapolei defensive end Maceal Afaese.

Two more players from Hawaii will be announced as Polynesian Bowl All-Stars next Thursday on Hawaii Prep World.

The 2020 Polynesian Bowl will take place Saturday, Jan. 18, at Aloha Stadium featuring 100 of the best high school football players in the country. The majority of the players will be of Polynesian ancestry.

How’d this guy do doing the Pun game??

The thing about being that big is that EVERYONE sees you when you pancake somebody AND when you get beat.

Unless you the ref and you dont see him bellyflopping on kids already on the ground.
