Christman signs as preferred UW walk-on

Punahou tight end Matthew Christman signed his letter of intent and will be a preferred walk-on at Washington, Buffanblu coach Kale Ane confirmed Wednesday.


Christman, a 6-foot-3, 235-pounder, caught seven passes for 127 yards and a TD during Punahou’s ILH championship season that ended with a loss to Mililani in the state title game.


In other late signing news Wednesday, Kamehameha offensive lineman Radson Jang selected Army, and Punahou defensive back Robert Straton chose Dartmouth.
