Kahuku senior linebacker Hirkley Latu signed with Brigham Young on Wednesday.
Latu had offers from California, Hawaii, Washington State, Oregon State, Utah and Utah State.
Latu was one of eight Kahuku defensive players selected to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser all-state first team in December. Kahuku went 13-0 and won the state title.
Kahuku defensive lineman Bradlee Anae signed with Utah, picking the Utes over Oregon State, BYU, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
Good job Hirk!!!!
And Kahuku’s safety, Keala Santiago, chose the Hawaii Warriors !!!
Yeah don’t forget the Defensive Player of the Year Keala and the Warriors.
Outstanding Hirkley,…best wishes at BYU.
Bradlee Anae to Utah. What a surprise. I am going to assume his faddah is Brad Anae who played at Kahuku and then BYU. So I figured he would want to go to BYU as well. Mormon kids from Kahuku used to be a lock to go to BYU. Not anymore.
Yet the pristhood still roam the same hemisphere they call the promise land;…amen.
What happen to Education First, Old school cougar, and Spartan? He gave up already, no one likes his style. Don’t know how one can write novels and novels of rubbish.
Utah Utes…. Salt Lake City, kind of far from the ocean but that’s okay the food and rent is cheap up there.
@ Action Jackson, hello ma’am how are you doing? I actually write novels and novels of facts. Do you notice that I often offer links to provide information to support what I write. Do you do that? I didn’t think so since you are one of the many fools on here. It is really fun to spend 1 minute writing. Then you spend 1 hour trying to write back. I am sure you head hurts from all the thinking you must do.
I am just flabbergasted that someone would turn down high level schools such as Vanderbilt and Virginia. I am scratching my head. I know Action Jackson will not understand since he probably things Windward Community College and Vanderbilt are the same. I understand since that Aunty never went to school.
The computer geek is back. Hehe
