Anuenue still not ready, forfeits fifth game

Anuenue will forfeit this weekend’s scheduled game against Kalani, the fifth straight contest it has bowed out of.

The school, which forfeited three games last year, opened the season with a 62-0 loss to St. Francis and has not had enough healthy players to suit up for a league game yet. Anuenue has three games remaining on its schedule, at Nanakuli, at Roosevelt and at Waialua.

The latest forfeit gives Anuenue a 25-game losing streak, but only 16 of those have come on the field.

Kalani is the only school Anuenue has a historical edge over, with Na Koa leading the series 5-4. But the Falcons have won the last four meetings.

Kalani’s record improves to 3-3, 3-2 in the OIA White.
