Punahou withstood a powerful attack by Kahuku for a 25-19, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21 win in the opening round of the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball State Championships at Hemmeter Fieldhouse on Monday. Punahou seniors Chloe Kaahanui and outside hitter Kaia Dunford chatted after the match.
