The young, tall, composed Punahou Buffanblu stepped onto ‘Iolani’s home court with full confidence. It showed as the visitors took the opening set before a robust audience that nearly filled the gym. Then ‘Iolani simmered down and rallied for a 20-25, 25-12, 25-16 victory during opening week of the ILH girls volleyball regular season. The Raiders are ranked No. 11 by MaxPreps and No. 21 in the country by USA Today.
