Punahou boys volleyball coach Rick Tune is featured in the inaugural Hudl 100.

Hudl is a video analysis company for coaches and athletes. Tune is one of 100 coaches and administrators to be recognized on Hudl.com in the Hudl 100, an information package that “highlights sports and technology’s key players.”

Tune has led the Buffanblu to the last five Division I state championships and the last seven of eight. He was selected for his focus on teamwork.

In the feature, Tune says, “That’s the true definition of team, when you’re not focused on ‘me’ and ‘I’ … you’re focused on each other and the group’s success no matter if that comes at the expense of your success.”

Easy words to say, much tougher to do, but Tune, the former Punahou, University of Hawaii and Pepperdine volleyball star, continues to pull it off.
