SOC: Iolani girls return to states

The Iolani girls soccer team will be going to the state tournament for the sixth year in a row.

The Raiders got goals from Kylee Kim-Bustillos, Megan Goo, Sam Masca and Karley Devens to beat Pac-Five 4-0 and clinch the ILH’s second berth behind champion Punahou. The Raiders failed to defend their crown, but they are getting to the tournament.

Kamehameha, the defending state champion, is staying home.


Iolani and Punahou wrap up the regular season against each other on Friday. They tied 2-2 earlier this year.


In other ILH girls action:


>> Mira Arakaki scored twice and Alisha Kahele-Manners and Jade Mahoe each scored once in Kamehameha’s 4-0 win over Mid-Pacific.

>> Scared Hearts got its second win of the season with a 7-0 drubbing of winless St. Francis. Chanel Yee, Kahea Ah Sam, Kelli Keahiolalo, Ciana Rivera, Kate Hennlon, Jordan Confair and Kaycee Selga all scored for the Lancers.
