Saint Louis duo enters top 100 in the country

Saint Louis linebackers Jordan Botelho and Nick Herbig both made significant jumps in the latest class of 2020 football recruiting rankings by 247Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Botelho jumped all the way up to the No. 33 overall prospect in the country while the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Herbig moved up more than 200 spots into the top 100 at No. 97.

According to Hawaii Prep World’s recruiting tracker, Botelho and Herbig are also 1-2 in the state in offers. Botelho has 21 offers including Georgia, Washington, Southern Cal, LSU, Tennessee, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.


Herbig recently announced an offer from Kansas State to give him 10 total with Washington, Stanford, Wisconsin and USC on the list.


All three players from Hawaii listed in the top 247 are from Saint Louis with receiver Matt Sykes, who is 6-3 and 195 pounds, also listed at No. 225. Sykes holds offers from Navy, Hawaii, Utah and Fresno State.


All three are four-star recruits with another 18 prospects from Hawaii receiving three stars. They are listed below in order of ranking by 247Sports.

    Hey you 2020 prospects. Make sure you know what you doing not accepting offers. Only the big babo gums can make schools wait for an answer. If your on the bubble the bubble going pop (The schools dont leave the offer indefinitely they will offer someone else and fill that spot). No be the guy left out with no options in the end because all the scholarships are gone it happens.

    If the school you want extends the offer for goodness sakes accept and be grateful its not a game to see who can rack up what offers. You can only say YES to one.
