Kahuku extended the longest streak of consecutive appearances in the girls volleyball state tournament to 20 earlier this week.

Now they enter the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball State Championships as the No. 2 seed overall.

The Red Raiders avenged a season-opening loss to Moanalua with a four-set win in the finals of the OIA tournament on Thursday to earn the second seed in the state tournament that gets underway Monday with four opening-round games.

ILH champion Punahou is the No. 1 overall seed but is in the tournament for just the second time since 2014.

MIL champion Baldwin earned the No. 3 seed and is in the tournament for the first time since 2011. BIIF champion Kamehameha-Hawaii is the fourth seed.

The four first-round matchups on Monday will see Waianae play at Hilo, Mililani at Kamehameha-Maui, Kapolei at Kamehameha and Kaiser at Moanalua.

Na Menehune swept the Cougars in the regular season and again in the quarterfinals of the OIA tournament.
