With the MIT in the books and Officials starting up Friday, here is Hawaii Prep World’s first boys pound-for-pound rankings for the new season.

Iolani’s KJ Pascua trails Corey Cabanban of Saint Louis in state titles, but comes in at No. 1 in the initial list with Campbell’s Micah Tynanes right behind them. Pascua finished last season No. 4 despite losing in the state final to No. 1 Liam Corbett and Cabanban was seventh.

They were the only two ranked wrestlers returning. Nine of the 10 ranked wrestlers are in Officials this week, so expect a little shakeup next week.

This list is completely subjective and will change next week after the new crop of freshmen show their stuff at Officials and veterans see where they stand with league and state championships so far away.
