The preseason boys soccer tournament held by Kapolei every year has gone through many different names and forms but it remains the elite preseason test on Oahu.

This year’s 808 Prep Soccer Showcase will kick off Wednesday, Nov. 23 and run through Saturday with a day off for Thanksgiving.

It will be a double-elimination format this year with each team guaranteed three matches. Kapolei and Mililani will split hosting the first round with the rest of the tournament on the Hurricanes’ lush grass.

Five state tournament teams make up the field of eight with Final Four participants Kalani and Kapolei to face off in the semifinals if they can both win their first-round matches. But that is no guarantee, the field is stacked.

Here is the first round:
Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Kapolei
Kapolei vs. Kamehameha, 6 p.m.
Kalani vs. Baldwin, 8 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Mililani
Mililani vs. Mid-Pacific, 6 p.m.
Pearl City vs. ‘Iolani, 8 p.m.
