The Interscholastic League of Honolulu just announced that today’s baseball championship doubleheader at Hans L’Orange Park has been postponed due to rain.

The Division II championship game between St. Francis and Damien has been moved to Friday at Ala Wai Field at 3:30 p.m.

The Division I championship game between Saint Louis and Kamehameha will be played at Goeas Field on Friday at 3:30.

Though conditions in town on Thursday were slightly damp, Waipahu was drenched. Hans L’Orange was perfectly playable on Tuesday, but the conditions have become unsafe.

“We would rather play at Ala Wai (than CORP),” St. Francis coach Kip Akana told Hawaii Prep World’s Paul Honda. “Damien practices at CORP (in Waipio).”

Saint Louis coach George Gusman was understanding about the circumstances.

“There are very few options available,” Gusman texted. “HPU is playing at Hans on (Friday) night.”

Also, two OIA softball postponement has been confirmed. Moanalua’s game at Mililani has been rained out and Pearl City’s game against Kapolei is also postponed. Both games will be made up tomorrow at 3 p.m., which likely means the OIA softball semifinals scheduled for Friday night at McKinley will be moved.

We will update the rest of today’s schedule as we find out.

1:20 p.m.: Leilehua coach Stacy Araki says Mules’ game at Roosevelt is still on.

1:25 p.m.: Campbell coach Michael Hermosura says the field looks “super bad” but hasn’t gotten word yet that the Sabers’ game at Kailua has been canceled.

3 p.m.: The OIA Division I semifinals will be at McKinley on Saturday at 5 and 7 p.m. The OIA Division II and Division I title games will be Monday at McKinley at 5 and 7 p.m. respectively.
