ILH ALL-STARS: ‘Iolani’s Elena Oglivie named D-I most valuable player

‘Iolani senior outside hitter Elena Oglivie was voted the ILH most valuable player in Division I, the league announced today.

Kamehameha coach Chris Blake, who led the Warriors to an ILH and state championship, was named coach of the year.

In Division II, Damien senior Rayne Pactol was named most valuable player and Don Faumuina, in his final season with the Monarchs, was named coach of the year.

Lanakila Baptist senior Chavah Kaneshiro was named most valuable player in Division III and Island Pacific’s Stan Vincent won coach of the year honors.

The league’s all-star teams were voted on by the league coaches and are listed below.

Division I

    All things equal, the should have gone to Kamehameha’s Akana. I’m inclined to either voter’s took things into account that had nothing to do with ILH leave play or the trophy was already engraved before the season began.
