Alabama freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made his collegiate debut on Saturday and threw a touchdown pass in the Crimson Tide’s 41-10 win over Fresno State.

Tagovailoa, a Saint Louis alumnus and the reigning Honolulu Star-Advertiser offensive player of the year, finished 6-for-9 for 64 yards with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Henry Ruggs III in the fourth quarter for the final margin.

Tagovailoa took the field for the first time in the second quarter and was sacked on first down. He threw an incomplete pass on third down as Alabama went three-and-out.

Tagovailoa is No. 2 on the depth chart behind starter Jalen Hurts, who finished 14-for-18 for 128 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.

Tagovailoa had three carries for 8 yards.

Jalen Hurts, is a freakish athlete but coach Saban knows something. Hurts, is not going to get the job done in a championship type game. Under heavy pressure by the defense, notice where Jalen’s eyes are looking? It’s not for any receiver’s down field, but run with his eyes down. Tua, is the completely the opposite…scramble with eye’s on the receiver’s down field with the pass. That alone, wins championships…Saban knows that. Tua, will get his time…hang in there…. Man!

Nak’s — I know we all love to support the local boy here, but what are you talking about Hurts can’t win championships.. If I’m not mistaken, Hurts did his job last year by scoring to put his team up in the last minute of the championship game. Hurts has done nothing wrong to lose his spot. Tua will get his time and he will be the man! Saban knows how to win championship regardless. He’ll get his time

Bu-lyah, u clueless…watch all the tapes of Saban since Tua arrived at Alabama. Jalen, cannot read defenses…he will throw to the primary receiver only. Watch his eyes, if not head down and runs to save his soul. If he does check off, throws the ball way to late….resulting in an interception. Saban, knows and said, Tua, will play and get some reps. Clemson, will and has pressured Jalen and they got his #….championship goes thru Clemson right? Wait and watch!

Alabama, has 5 star receiver’s…receiving yards don’t add up….why! Saban, trying to change that so he can win 5 more championships.
