Kaiser’s Kai Hasegawa and Punahou’s Hi‘i Thomas will play soccer for Hawaii Pacific this fall, coach Gina Brewer announced Thursday.

Hasegawa was the OIA East player of the year as a junior for the Cougars. She scored 13 goals that season, and she also played softball in high school.

Thomas, a 2014 Punahou graduated, scored three goals during her junior season for the Buffanblu. She followed that up by being named captain and making the first team of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu All-Stars as a senior.

The Sharks went 11-4-2 in 2014.
