Sivan Leoni is returning to coach Kalaheo boys volleyball, Mustangs athletic director Mark Brilhante told Hawaii Prep World on Wednesday.
Leoni, a native of Isreal, was a standout with the University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team from 1995 to 1998. He was also the Mustangs’ head coach from 2000 to 2005, leading them to OIA championships in 2004 and 2005.
Leoni takes over for Stahl Allen, who will remain as an assistant with the Kalaheo girls volleyball team.
In other coaching news, Sydney Foster is the new girls water polo coach at Mililani, replacing Gregg Wong, according to Trojans athletic director Glenn Nitta.
Foster was a standout for the Kahuku girls team in 2012 and went on to play at Cal Lutheran. She has also been an assistant at Waialua.
