It wasn’t a smooth ride, but Coach Chris Blake and the Kamehameha Warriors were equipped for the duration. The Warriors rose out of the ILH playoffs to upend regular-season winner Punahou for the league crown. Then Kamehameha worked through the state tournament, rallying to beat Punahou in four sets for the title. This is Kamehameha’s 22nd girls volleyball state championship, and 10th under Blake, who has guided the program to the state finals for 17 years in a row.

No interviews from second place? The team that worked their butt off to reach states?

@Curious – Didn’t EVERY team work their butts off to reach states? Should they all have interviews? This is the problem with society today – “everybody gets a trophy” mentality! To the winners go the spoils!

First of all everyone didn’t make it to states! And having a interview doesn’t mean you getting a trophy.
