Baldwin is No. 16 in USA Today Super 25

The Baldwin Bears baseball team moved up eight spots to No. 16 in the USA Today Super 25.

The Bears wrapped up their sixth Division I state championship on Friday with a 14-4, five-inning mercy-rule victory over Waiakea.

Baldwin (16-1) also earned state titles in 1959, 1960, 1984, 1995 and 2016.


Neighbor Islands teams have now won the last three D-I state championships and four of the last seven.

    Didn’t Maui High also win the State title in 1982? Last year when they one I keep reading first title in 35 years.
