In 2010 Campbell won its first state softball crown. On this date in 2011, the Sabers added an OIA title to the collection.

Kawehi Kahana hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Summer Palipti made it hold up as the Sabers beat Kailua 2-1 to earn their first OIA championship since 1992.

In the earlier game, Kahuku beat Waipahu for its first OIA crown in four years.

It was the first of three straight OIA titles for Campbell, but the Sabers failed to win the state tournament over that span and had to wait until 2015 to capture the big prize again.
