Top-seeded Lahainaluna and second-seeded ‘Iolani squared off in the Division II final of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships at Aloha Stadium. ‘Iolani took control from the start en route to a 31-14 win, collecting its eighth D-II state crown in the last 11 seasons.
It was a great, tumultuous battle between the top two teams in the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Division I Football State Championships. Mililani captured its first football state crown with a wild 53-45 win.
Lahainaluna and ‘Iolani have been mainstays in Division II football from the start.
