Pitcher Markus Ramos became the latest young Campbell Saber to clutch up in the postseason. The junior fired a five-hit shutout in a stunning 5-0 win over No. 1-seeded Mid-Pacific on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Baseball State Championships at Iron Maehara Stadium. Ramos struck out six and walked two and also smacked an RBI double.

‘Iolani went down fighting. The Raiders baseball team started the season strong, but hit the skids and finished the regular season 4-11. They righted the ship enough to beat contenders Saint Louis and Kamehameha in the postseason and nearly upset top-ranked Mid-Pacific on Friday.
