Lee home resting after successful surgery

Saint Louis football coach Cal Lee is at home recuperating from successful surgery to remove a kidney stone. The surgery was done on Friday night for the longtime coach, who had endured weeks of pain because the kidney stone was too large to shrink by other means. “He’s fine, home resting,” said his brother, Ron Lee. Saint Louis and Kahuku both moved up consideraby in the CBS MaxPreps national computer rankings this week. The Crusaders (8-1) jumped 34 spots to No. 34, passing half the teams in front of them in last week’s rankings. Cal Lee felt the best he’s felt in weeks on Friday night. Hawaii’s winningest high school football coach celebrated another ILH championship at Aloha Stadium as his Crusaders stepped up defensively to force six turnovers in a 28-14 win over No. 2 Punahou.
