The 1979 Kaiser Cougars rolled and rolled all the way to the Oahu Prep Bowl, where then-head coach Ron Lee led them to a 27-7 victory over Kamehameha. In the years that passed, he continued working at a hotel while assistant coaching at Saint Louis (with brother and head coach Cal Lee), then the University of Hawaii, Kalani and finally back at Saint Louis.
