Punahou’s Taulapapa offered by Virginia, Navy

Punahou running back Wayne Taulapapa is taking an official football recruiting visit to Virginia this weekend. Taulapapa was recently offered scholarships by the Cavaliers and Navy, his father Mani Taualapapa said Wednesday. “He won’t be making any decisions until after the visit to Virginia,” Mani Taulapapa said. ILH’s Matias and Chow commit to Air Force

Two Interscholastic League of Honolulu football players have committed to Air Force. Punahou safety Justin Matias gave his oral commitment to the Falcons, Buffanblu head coach Kale Ane confirmed Tuesday. Matias made his commitment Jan. 16. Caleb Chow, a Kamehameha defensive end, also committed to Air Force, according to his Twitter account. “Extremely happy and blessed to announce my commitment to the United States Air Force Academy #boltbrotherhood,” he tweeted Tuesday.
