Kapolei’s Auwae headed to UCLA

Kapolei offensive lineman Sean Auwae made his college commitment Friday morning on Twitter, posting a video with his Hurricanes teammates announcing his decision to attend UCLA next season. Auwae had announced a top six earlier this week that included the Bruins, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, Louisville, Utah and Oregon State. Kapolei’s Auwae reveals top 6 college choices

Apparently it’s decision time for Kapolei’s Toleafoa Sean Auwae. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman narrowed his college choices to six on Tuesday via Twitter and said he will make his decision public on Friday, the same day the Hurricanes host Kahuku for the first time on their home turf to open the OIA regular season. The Kaiser Cougars roll into Kapolei ranked eighth by the Star-Adveriser, but the Hurricanes could have something to say about it. A quick look at the two rosters shows Kaiser with 26 available players for tonight’s game while Kapolei is over 60. This is the first meeting between the schools since 2003. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is about to start his junior season as Saint Louis’ starter, and fans can get an early look Thursday at 5:30 p.m. when the Crusaders visit Kapolei for a scrimmage.
