The final week of “Season 1” is a busy one on the hardwood for private-school basketball programs. Tonight, Hanalani’s girls team visits Kamehameha, and the Warrior boys host Punahou after that in an exhibition doubleheader at Kekuhaupio Gymnasium. Girls and boys basketball never went away in 2021. The game simply waited, and this weekend, there will be a cathartic moment or two for the Kamehameha Warriors and Hawaii Baptist Academy Eagles. Kamehameha will host Hawaii Baptist on Friday, 4 p.m., at Kekuhaupio Gymnasium in an exhibition game. The Kingdom of Hawaii basketball organization, Ke Aupuni Hawaii Athletics, is the first member to join the newly-created International Basketball Union. Ke Aupuni Hawaii has played abroad since 2018 with men’s and women’s teams.
