Video: Leilehua-Radford highlights

By Paul Honda on September 29, 2010

This game turned out as good as I hoped. Tied 10-all at the half, a lot of good defense. Leilehua had a big dose of trickeration very early in the game and it proved to be the difference. VIDEO: Leilehua-Radford, part 1 VIDEO: Leilehua-Radford, part 2 Paul Honda, Star-Advertiser

KIF football gate update

By Jerry Campany on September 27, 2010

The bird watch on Kauai continues. Attendance for a key game between Kapaa and Kauai at Vidinha Stadium on Saturday afternoon drew 1,250 fans, Red Raiders athletic director Ross Shimabukuro said. Kapaa won the game, 24-13, to move into a first-place tie with perennial power Kauai. However, coach Nolan Tokuda reports this morning that it wasn’t Siavii, who normally plays defense. Apparently, the Mules now have two players wearing jersey No. 1. The other, baseball player and former defensive end Melvin Tupinio, was the rocket launcher on Leilehua’s stunning first […]
