Some great footage of OL-versus-DL one-on-one (no pad) drills. Farrington defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko and Punahou offensive lineman Semisi Uluave look terrific against the top guys in the Oakland Nike Football Training Camp. Also in the footage is DL Salanoa Alo-Wily (Kahuku) and DT Rex Manu (Mililani). Fehoko (6-3, 285) has already committed to play for Texas Tech. He will be a senior this fall.

The 13th annual Under Armour-PIAA Hawaii high school football combine is filling up quickly. The event, which will be held May 31 at Mililani High School’s John Kauinana Stadium, is open to players in grades 9 through 12. PIAA administrative director Doris Sullivan said that about 200 of the 260 spots have been filled. Cost is $25. Fehoko honored by US Army All-American game

Farrington junior Breiden Fehoko has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American game in January. The Star-Advertiser all-state defensive tackle is one of the top recruits in the country with more than 30 college scholarship offers. Fehoko, at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds, committed to Texas Tech in April. Fehoko declined to play in the U.S. Army exhibition game. He has already committed to play in another post-season exhibition all-star contest.

Beautiful morning at the Elks Lodge in Waikiki on signing day for dozens of student-athletes from the islands. Among them were a handful of football players, including Punahou’s all-state offensive lineman, Davis Miyashiro-Saipa‘ia. The senior signed with Oregon as a preferred walk-on, turning down several opportunities at smaller schools. Isaac Hurd, Campbell’s big-play quarterback, signed with Southern Oregon.
