Thomas Reid had a quietly effective season as a wide receiver at Radford last fall. However, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior is starting to generate noise out in the recruiting universe. The University of Hawaii made him a scholarship offer on Sunday, just 24 hours after hosting Reid and several other players on “junior day” at the Manoa campus. The momentum is surging faster for Kapolei junior Taleafoa Sean Auwae, who received his 10th offer — this one from BYU — on Saturday night. Malepeai, Pritchard invited to Blue-Grey game

Five Hawaii players have been invited to play in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in December in Arlington, Texas. Two players — Mililani running back Vavae Malepeai and Farrington linebacker Jeremiah Pritchard — will join three others from Hawaii in the game. It was previously reported that three offensive linemen from the 50th state were invited to play in the game — Saint Louis’ Nate Herbig, Kaiser’s Michael Eletise and Kapolei’s Sean Auwae. All five players are going into their senior seasons this fall.

Harvard no. Yale yes. A recruiting website has Farrington linebacker Jeremiah Pritchard listed as having received interest from Harvard. It’s not true, Pritchard said, but Yale made a call. “A Yale assistant coach messaged me and wanted to know my grades and SAT scores,” Pritchard said during a phone interview Friday. Colorado, Hawaii and UNLV are among the schools that have offered a scholarship to Farrington outside linebacker Jeremiah Pritchard, according to Scout.com. Pritchard was part of a Governors team that finished third in the OIA and lost to eventual state champion Mililani, 17-14, in the state Division I semifinals. Another website, Rivals.com, lists Harvard as offering Pritchard. Washington, Washington State and California are listed as schools interested in the 6-foot, 200-pounder on the websites.
