Leader down, how will Moanalua respond?

By Paul Honda on August 30, 2015

It was a breakout game for young Alakai Yuen. Sure, the Moanalua offense is geared up, an offensive juggernaut — but only with the right combination of field vision, passing skills and toughness in its trigger man. On Saturday night, there was absolutely no doubt that man was Yuen, who passed for 345 yards, five TDs and no picks (21-for-35) before going down with a neck injury during a late-game drive into Farrington territory. By Paul Honda on August 30, 2015

On a night when two normally prolific running backs — Michael Feliciano of Moanalua and Challen Faamatau of Farrington — found just about every nook and cranny occupied by the enemy, the fate of their title-contending teams may have gone in opposite directions. Moanalua isn’t a widely accepted title contender, but certainly most fans can agree that they are a playoff threat. Feliciano, who is capable of breaking off a 200-yard rushing game any time, was limited to 3.5 yards […]

Wondering why scouts don’t flock to see Milton

By Nick Abramo on August 30, 2015

I am here to tell you that McKenzie Milton is something special. Sure, sure, the person who is saying that (me) also thought Jarin Morikawa was something special. And he was, but Milton, who took over the Mililani quarterback job three years ago after Morikawa graduated, is on a whole ‘nother level. Morikawa was a great quarterback. Milton is more accurate, has more zip on the ball and his mobility allows him to gain valauble seconds in which he can […]
