By Nick Abramo on September 7, 2016

Lafo Seiuli-Sanchez is a game-changer — or at least he was in Hawaii’s version of Monday Night Football. Due to the threat of Hurricane Lester, the Oahu Interscholastic Assocition moved the Waipahu-Roosevelt football game from Saturday to Monday at Aloha Stadium, and the Marauders’ Seiuli-Sanchez put on a show. For starters, the 6-foot-4, 320-pound defensive lineman lined up in the backfield and scored on a 3-yard touchdown. Later in the 43-14 victory, he added a 2-point conversion run. Thursday night, Monday night and all in between

By Paul Honda on September 6, 2016

The week ahead lined up like the funkiest schedule in prep football, at least that this sportswriter can remember. Thursday night at Aloha Stadium, an Interscholastic League of Honolulu opener between Kamehameha and Punahou. Friday night at pristine Waianae, where Kaiser would make the cross-island trek from Koko Head to Raymond Torii Field. Saturday, football games at Aloha Stadium for my co-workers. I would be elsewhere. (Don’t ask me where. My brain is too fried, the good-tired after a fun […]
