If it was easy, it would happen all the time. There have been only four previous programs to win both girls and boys team titles at the Civilian Marksmanship Program/HHSAA Air Riflery State Championships. Mid-Pacific became the fifth on Tuesday, capturing the boys and girls team crowns today at Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall. Lanai has been back in business playing football for five seasons, and now the Pine Lads are champions of the MIL 8-man league. The Pine Lads (5-2, 5-1) defeated Seabury Hall 78-6 at home on Saturday to move into a first-place tie and a share of the league championship with Molokai (6-1, 5-1). UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton snapped a streak of 27 consecutive starts for the Knights when he was held out of Saturday’s 37-10 win over East Carolina. Milton’s absence was a shock to the ESPN crew televising the game as well as local media in Orlando.
