By Paul Honda on June 7, 2019

Some days it’s weight-room time. But most days, he is on the natural grass of Julian Yates Field. “Harry is very quiet,” Konawaena football coach Brad Uemoto said. “The best part about Harry is sometimes, he didn’t grow up as a football fan or knowing the game. But the sure-handed receiver recognizes the stakes heading into his senior season. Coaches and teammates have raved about Nishigaya in the past, but he still remains lightly recruited, even as a staple on a consensus top-10 team nationally. “Not really a lot right now,” he said when asked of college interest. Anthony Sagapolutele and Josiah Enos are GPA’s top linemen

By Nick Abramo on June 5, 2019

The top of Anthony Sagapolutele‘s T-shirt was ripped to shreds by the time the linemen’s portion of the GPA Showcase football camp finished Wednesday. He also had numerous scratches on the top of his chest. But Sagapolutele also had something nobody else had at Kamehameha’s Kunuiakea Stadium. He was holding the certificate for being named as the top defensive lineman, and that announcement came via former Denver Broncos defensive end Ma’a Tanuvasa. There is, of course, family pride to upkeep. […]
