It was bruising, merciless and relentless in the trenches when No. 4 Kahuku went to work against No. 2 Punahou on Saturday night. Punahou prevailed, 21-13, but Kahuku came away with lessons that should carry into the final week of the regular season and beyond.
Punahou lost to Kahuku in their previous meeting last year, and that only sharpened their preparation in Saturday’s showdown at Aloha Stadium.
