Luke Pardini scored 12 of his 18 points in the third quarter as Kalaheo turned a three-point halftime lead into a 61-42 road win at Kaiser on Saturday night. Michael Johnson is the new boys basketball coach at Moanalua, the school announced on Saturday. A letter by Principal Robin Martin to the players and parents made public also explains that interim coach Col. The 16-team boys field at the Punahou Invitational has funneled into a final four that includes the host Buffanblu. Punahou (8-6) ousted Thunder Mountain (Alaska) 64-46 on Friday night. The Buffanblu will face La Jolla Country Day (Calif.), which reached the semifinal round by defeating Sacramento Adventist (Calif.) 64-49. The Farrington Governors got one part of the mission done. They just didn’t have a way to fill in the rest of the blanks. Farrington limited Moanalua’s high-scoring junior, Geremy Robinson, to just 13 points, but Na Menehune still coasted to a 72-36 win on Thursday night to open OIA regular-season play.
