‘Iolani has been hungry for a state championship treat since 2006. A 55-44 win over Kahuku (19-11) last night brought the top-seeded Raiders one step closer. Hawaiian Airlines/HHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships Saturday, Mar. 6, 2010 Stan Sheriff Center Division I Final: ‘Iolani 46, Kamehameha 43 Kainoa Chu’s 3-pointer with 5 seconds left broke a 43-all tie and gave the Raiders their first state title since 2006. Chu finished with 27 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead ‘Iolani (20-7), the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion and top seed.
