Campbell’s championship parade Saturday

A parade honoring the state champion Campbell baseball and softball teams and other Sabers teams will be held in Ewa Beach on Saturday. Mid-Pacific’s Shackles is Gatorade player of year

Mid-Pacific catcher Noah Shackles was chosen as the Gatorade Hawaii Baseball Player of the Year, the Gatorade Company announced Friday. The award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence, academic achievement and exemplary character on and off the field. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound senior hit .355 with 16 RBIs and a .525 slugging percentage, leading the Owls (14-4) to the Division I state final this spring. Maryknoll baseball team headed to Division I

It will be a whole new world for the Maryknoll baseball team next spring. Due to their three consecutive Division II state championships, next season the Spartans — by ILH rule — will be moving up to Division I in the ILH and fighting for a berth in the D-I state tournament. Aiea’s Uyeda apparently OK after shoulder injury

Aiea pitcher and first baseman Jarred Uyeda went down with a shoulder injury during Na Alii’s 8-4 loss to Maryknoll in the Division II state baseball tournament Friday night. Apparently, he is OK and did not require a trip to the hospital after dislocating his shoulder, believe it or not, while on deck in the fifth inning.
